Travel // The Dundas Plowing Match

Today, I'm dipping into the archives from last summer, when I spent an afternoon at the Dundas Plowing Match – Prince Edward Island's annual five-day agricultural fair, where you can catch such events as: the sheep herding demonstration, the unicorn hitch (a delightful-sounding mystery), wife hollering, and bessy bingo.

On the day I stopped by, the horse pull was the main event, where teams of horses and their owners, hailing from across the east coast, competed to pull increasingly heavy loads across a grassy arena. Here are a few shots from the day.
